Search Console tells you what happened. A SERP check tells you what is there now.
Search Console reports an average position across everyone who searched, blended over devices, locations and days. Useful, and not the same question as where do I rank today. Check positions runs a live SERP check for the keywords you pick and stores the top 20 organic results for each one, so your organic ranking arrives with the page that beat you attached, not just the number that beat you.
That is the whole idea behind an organic rank tracker that reads the page itself. Nothing is modelled, nothing is inferred from a sample.

Every check records the AI answer
Two questions most rank trackers cannot answer at all.
For each keyword checked, Pebble records whether an AI Overview appeared and whether that answer cited you. Those two facts sit next to the position, so a keyword you still rank third for but no longer get cited in stops being invisible.
The tracked list is the handful you actually watch
The archive holds everything. The tracked list is what you have chosen to care about.
A keyword becomes tracked when you star it, add it by hand, or put it in a group. Groups are many to many and coloured, so one keyword can sit in as many as it needs. Filters on both keywords and groups include and exclude, which is how you monitor organic rank for one product line without the rest of the list getting in the way.
Position, SERP position, estimated traffic, volume, difficulty, intent, the top ranking page and the source each row came from all sit in one table with a column chooser.

How the whole list is distributed, not just how one keyword moved.
The tracked list is grouped into position bands so you can see the shape of a month rather than a single number, and watch that shape shift as work lands. A list where organic ranking is drifting from page two into the top ten reads very differently to one where a single keyword jumped, and the bands make that difference obvious at a glance.
You see the cost before you spend it
Nothing is spent without a number on the screen first.
Before a run starts you get a dialog with the number of checks it needs, the estimated cost and how many checks are left in your monthly allowance. A run that will not fit inside the allowance is refused outright rather than half completed, because a half finished check run is worse than none.

Everything exports
CSV on every table, PNG on every chart.
Export exactly the rows and columns you are looking at, filters and all. Charts export as PNG for a deck. Annotations you have added draw onto every chart as dated lines, so a report explains itself.
Checks run when you ask, not on a timer
One limitation, stated plainly.
Nothing in Pebble runs on a timer. You decide when to spend a check and on what, which is the right trade when every check costs something. If you want your organic ranking refreshed weekly, run it weekly.
